February 12th & 13th Sale Summary

Connemara Pony Sales were delighted to welcome back all of our buyers and sellers to Clifden last weekend.  It was great to see so many familiar faces and welcome back many of our international buyers who had been unable to attend our sale in 2020/2021.

There was also strong demand for ponies online, we would like to thank all of our online customers for tuning in on MartEye and our Facebook page. The feedback we have received from buyers and vendors about the sale has been very positive.

Lot 37 Cloneen Naoise (8 year old Gelding) set the tone for what was to be a very strong sale making €15,200, we wish the new owner all of the best with their purchase.

Lot 146 Fuinseog Melvin Lady (Lough Melvin Gorteen x Fuinseog Fairy)(5 year old mare) was our sales topper. This pony was the subject of a lot of interest both ringside and online and was purchased for €16,000. Lot 39 Rathvaldron Crean (5 year old) was top priced filly of the sale making €8,200

Sunday was another busy day where lot 296 Kildonan Lad (5 year old gelding) made €12,500. Lot 295 Laraghs Spirit was the top priced colt of the sale making €5,700.

Please keep an eye on this week’s Irish Field where we will share a more comprehensive report of last weekend’s sale.

We would look forward to welcoming everyone back to Clifden for our sale on Saturday April 9th and again in May for a two day sale on Saturday 21st and Sunday May 22nd.
