About The Connemara Pony Sale

Connemara Pony Sales are Ireland’s largest and leading sale of Connemara Ponies and Horses. Based in Clifden, the heart of Connemara, Connemara Pony Sales is a well known Irish horse sales that host four sales held annually in February, May, August and October bringing together horse & pony buyers and sellers from around the globe. Connemara Pony Sales offer event ponies and horses, jumping ponies and horses and dressage ponies at all of our sales. The Connemara Pony is a world famous breed and many of the best breeders are based near Clifden where our pony & horse sales take place.
Overnight stabling is available at all sales and there are several transport companies always in attendance.

Emma Massingale

2015

Emma Massingale has worked with horses all her life from traditional breaking and training to competing. She traveled from her home in Devon to the sales in Clifden and purchased her first 2 Connemara geldings. Subsequent sales saw the purchase of 5 more Connemara ponies.

Jack The Lad

2013

Ridden by Conan Wright, Jack The Lad won the 1.20m Cavan Spring Grand Prix on the 31st of March 2013. Jack the Lad was purchased by Heather Wright at the August 2009 Connemara Pony Sales in Clifden.

Village Heather

2012

The Supreme Champion of the 2012 Clifden Pony Show is Padraic Hynes mare “Village Heather ” by Boden Park Finnard and out the well renowned mare Village Girl, this mare won class 13 for registered mares 10 to 15 years.
