A Connemara Pony Sales Success Story: Kildromin Banjo

At Connemara Pony Sales we always pride ourselves on the quality of stock that is on offer at all of our sales. We are extremely proud of the achievements of Kildromin Banjo. Last weekend Kildromin Banjo was a bronze team medalist for the Irish Team at the 2021 European Pony Championships in Poland.

Kildromin Banjo, who was broken by Gary Gormley, was presented as a 4 year old at our August sale in 2015. He was purchased by Richard Lyttle, Co. Down who quietly furthered his education. He is by Glendine Kestral out of Newtown Heather and was bred by Patrick Hayes.

He was subsequently sold to the Crozier family, also in Co Down, for their daughter Caoimhe, and together they forged a fantastic partnership to produce him to European level and to become a medal winning pony.

We would like to congratulate everyone involved in bringing this pony to these heights. It’s fantastic to see all of the hard work paying off in the form of a bronze medal at the 2021 European Championships.

We are confident that many future stars like Kildromin Banjo will be passing through our sales ring this weekend and at our future sales.
