CONNEMARA PONY SALES – GRADUATE SUCCESS STORY
Rathroe Jake & Tilly Hutchings – Pony Club National Champions 2026
Another fantastic success story from a Connemara pony making his mark on the eventing circuit!
Rathroe Jake, sold by Higginstown Irish Horses as a four-year-old at our August 2023 Connemara Pony Sale, has enjoyed an outstanding 2026 season under the guidance of rider Tilly Hutchings, delivering a string of impressive performances across some of the UK’s leading eventing venues.
The highlight of their season came when the talented partnership was crowned 2026 Pony Club National Champions, a tremendous achievement and testament to their hard work, consistency and ability.
Among their standout results this season:
🏆 Pony Club National Championships – National Champions 2026
🥉 Barbury Castle – 3rd place, 100cm
🥉 Dauntsey Park – 3rd place
⭐ Portman Horse Trials – 5th place, PC90
⭐ Calmsden – 7th place, 100cm
The pair also had the honour of representing their Pony Club at the prestigious Blenheim Palace Arena Eventing, another fantastic milestone in an already memorable season.
From passing through the sales ring in Clifden as a four-year-old to becoming a National Champion just three years later, Rathroe Jake is another wonderful example of the quality, versatility and talent of Connemara ponies.
It’s fantastic to see another Connemara Pony Sales graduate enjoying such success on the eventing circuit.
Congratulations to Tilly, Jake, Higginstown Irish Horses and everyone involved in their success! 🐴🏆
